PRESS RELEASE
FALCON PLASTICS POSITIONED FOR GROWTH
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE WASHINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA, February 17,1999 - Custom blow molder Falcon Plastics announces plans to expand operations in terms of molding capability and decorating capacity. The expansion efforts better position Falcon Plastics to enter new blow molding markets and handle additional volume that is forecasted for its decorating division in 1999.Currently, Falcon Plastics operates 28 blow mold machines ranging in shot capacity from 1 pound to 20 pounds. The company recently expanded this range by adding 25 pound and 75 pound accumulator head blow mold machines. The new equipment allows Falcon to enter larger product markets. Along with these additions, Falcon will be evaluating their existing machinery to determine which machines fit into their future business plan.
The company has also embarked on a program to expand and update its decorating division. An additional 2,000 square feet of floor space has been added to the decorating facility and new equipment has been ordered for the upcoming season. This expansion is necessary to accommodate increased production requirements for Grand Venture, a seasonal holiday company.
Newly hired President/CEO Bob Delach believes that the recent developments will assist Falcon in becoming a leader in the custom blow molding market. "Adding the larger machinery diversifies our market capabilities and provides a competitive advantage among custom blow mold manufacturers. The expansion of our secondary paint and assembly operations will augment our ability to complete finished products for customers. This is an additional competitive advantage for Falcon Plastics to leverage in the marketplace. These moves support our strategies to produce quality oriented products for select, fast growing, market segments."
