Falcon Plastics and Life Floor Awarded 2018 LAIC Growth and Achievement Award

MADISON, SD, May 3, 2019 — Falcon Plastics is honored to announce that we have been awarded, along with customer, Life Floor, the Lake Area Improvement Corporation’s Growth and Achievement Award for 2018. The annual award was presented to Falcon Plastics and Life Floor on April 25th, 2019 at LAIC’s Annual Meeting in Madison, SD. President of Falcon Plastics, Jay Bender, said “Our family and our business are both humbled and honored in being recognized and awarded the Growth and Achievement Award from LAIC and the Madison community”.

Headquartered in Brookings, SD, Falcon was founded in 1975 and remains a family-owned and operated manufacturer, with facilities in Brookings and Madison, SD, as well as Lexington, TN, and a partnership facility in Suzhou, China. Bender stated “We have had steady and consistent growth in our Madison facility ever since we opened its doors in 1990. This latest investment in facility expansion, equipment, and infrastructure were made possible due to our excellent team members in Madison, the willingness of the Madison community to grow and improve, and our confidence in Life Floor and all the other great customers we serve out of this facility.”

Falcon Plastics Madison facility also produces toner cartridges for customers like Toshiba, as well as high-performance ice packs for outdoor and sporting goods markets, to name a few. Falcon Plastics is currently in the process of expanding its Madison facility; by June 2019, the facility will span over 67,000 square feet.

Falcon Plastics Madison Plant Manager, Randy Morehouse, expressed his appreciation for his team members and Life Floor, stating: “Being able to receive the growth and achievement award this year means a lot to the Falcon Madison plant. It proves that all the hard work that each and every employee in the plant puts in, is being recognized not only by their co-workers but by the community. Life Floor is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota and their slip-resistant, non-abrasive tile is manufactured by Falcon Plastics in Madison. The product is installed largely around pools, on pool decks, splash pads, slide pads, and multi-level structures.
